How To Reciprocate Traffic

Reciprocal traffic works in promoting websites and blogs as well.  It is in fact one of the easiest way to promote  your blog.  Simply stated, reciprocal traffic means that when another blogger visit your blog , review or  leave comment, you reciprocate by returning the favor.  Sometimes you may also exchange links.

How To Reciprocate Traffic
  • Make It Valuable
When you return a favor, make sure that it is meaningful for the other blogger.  Don't just go there, say "Hi" then leave.  Consider looking for areas where you can make contribution in the promotion of his/her blog like leaving comment on a page that might gain him/her more traffic.

  • Beware of the Rules
When you visit another person's blog, be aware on the other blogger's preferences when it comes to his/her visitors.  Some bloggers do not like their visitors to put a link on their comments.  Some consider it spamming.

  • Make it Mutually Beneficial
Reciprocity includes mutual recommendation of each other's expertise.  When you post a comment or display a link in your site, the information you provide should not only reflect positively on the other blogger but on yourself as well.

  • ALWAYS Return The Favor
The Golden Rule of doing unto others what you want others to do unto you also applies in blogging.  Never forget to return a favor you received.  No matter how small the benefit you will get from reciprocating, do it anyway.
